Potty Training....

Last Monday Bridger and I rode home from Provo with Lil Grandma, Jewls, and Missy. We had been in the car over 8 hours so I figured Bridger and I should take a bath when we got home. After we were finished, Bridger got out of the tub and told me peepee. I asked if he wanted to go peepee in the toilet and he said his famous, "uh huh." So I plopped him right up and he peed like a champ. Well that was the last day he wore diapers (actually he still wears them during naps and at bedtime.) He has had a few accidents but for the most part he is amazing! Morgan, I do need some tips on the pooping because he has only gone once in the toilet. He either waits until naptime to poop or just does it in his underwear! Although he does tell me "I pooped," afterwards. We did trick him and tell him he has police cars on his underwear because he has some obsession with them. Hopefully he wants to be a policeman and not end up riding in the back of them...

The Keys

A few months ago we lost our keys to our mailbox. Let me start at the beginning. Jeremy and I were the morons that kept all 3 mail keys on the same keychain. While I was in China back in May, the keys went missing. We (Shayla, Jeremy and myself) searched for nearly 3 weeks! During this time Jeremy had to schmooze the mail lady into letting us have our mail. (It is illegal to do that!) Anyways, we finally had to go to the post office and pay $15 to have a new lock put on and receive a new set of keys. The first thing we did was seperate all of them onto different keychains! Fast forward to a few weeks ago.... Bridger and I were in my room when he asked me "whered the keys go?" I thought he meant my car keys so I handed them to him. Quickly he said "no," and walked over and stuck his hand down in between our mattress and sideboard and pulled out the missing mail keys and shouted, "here they are!" I couldn't believe my eyes and all I could do was laugh. I guess we never thought to ask Bridger when they were. What a tricky little buster with an excellent memory. Maybe he will have to help me study in nursing school this fall!

Main Street Festival

Each Thursday night in July, Gillette closes off Main street and has lots of fun activities for the whole fam! Shayla and I took the boys down there and enjoyed free hot dogs and hamburgers. There was even a petting zoo that Shayla took Bridger into. For some reason, the animals loved Bridger but he didn't care too much for them! Shayla bought a shirt in Kentucky that Bridger already owned so we decided to dress them alike for the evening. People made the comments like "look twins, how cute!" Ok, I could understand but come on Bridger walks and talks and Max just enjoyed being pushed in the stroller. Oh well it gave me something to blog about.....

Bridger enjoyed "dumping" on this giant air mattress obly because he would catch the bigger kids bounces and fall down! By the way, that is Paul Hughes' niece helping Bridger out!

Look, Twins! (maybe they were talking about the moms?)

Fun in the Sun with our Family!

Last week Jeremy, Bridger, and I got to enjoy the pool at lil grandma and grandpa's apartment complex. We had lots of fun, although the water was a bit cold for my liking. You will notice there is not one picture of me in the pool.... Bridger is extremely white even though we spend at least a few hours outside almost every day. I wonder if the fair skin is from his mom or dad????

The 1st Timers

Jeremy and I had this crazy idea to start a coed softball team this summer. We recruited family, friends, and some couples from church. We have had about a 500 season, not too shabby for "the 1st timers." Jeremy is #1 and definitely has some competitive genes in him. In the last game, he was playing right field and he somehow kicked a pop fly off of his shoe and managed to still catch it. The umpire apparently wasn't paying attention and called the guy safe. It would have made it on one of those sports bloopers show! It has taken me a few games to get into the groove of sprinting, for I have not done that in a few years! Shayla, Josie and Jewls surpass me in the area of softball skills. Check out the Skinner Clan blog for an individual breakdown of the Skinner players! Odessa, it has been said that I am captain worrier....(above)
Josie, is a stud athlete all around
Jeremy, #1 he still loves me even though I yell when he makes an error
Shayla, might be the fastest player on the team???

Th cutest sisters in all the league! (where did that blondie come from?)

July 4th!

Bridger and I had such a blast on the 4th of July. We woke up extra early (7:30) to go eat pancakes with Aunt Josie and than we headed off to the parade. It lasted over an hour which was a bit much for Bridger. As many of you know, I love candy, so that was my favorite part of the parade. Bridger got a little beach ball about 10 minutes into the parade so he didnt care much about anything else the entire time. I was the one filling our bag with candy! Next we headed to the park for the hot dog feed. I must say at this point into the summer, I have eaten a few too many hot dogs but I wont complain about free food! We stayed at the park for a couple of hours and than back to our house to take a little nap. Jeremy was working nights so he missed out! We had some friends over for a barbeque and did some fireworks with Aunt Jewls and Josie, and Uncle Corde! I dont suppose July 4th is Bridger's favorite holiday although he enjoys hot weather he didnt like the fireworks too much. I couldnt find my camera until after the parade and park, but here are pictures of Bridger hard at work and enjoying the new yard! Notice he is laughing about the mud on his face.....he is a REAL boy!

Our Yard!

We finally have a yard. Jeremy and I debated for a while on what to do about our mud pit that we call our yard. We decided that we would just go ahead and sod. Tuesday morning Jeremy and our friend Jiggs drove over to Whitewood, SD (about 110 miles) and picked up 12 pallets of sod! When they pulled up to the house I thought we would be laying sod for hours. Amazingly it only took us 2 hours to lay 6500 sf of nice green sod. We did have help from our friends and family thank goodness! Here are the pics!
