The Helmet

While in Utah, we went to Sports Authority. Bridger and Jeremy were looking at baseball stuff and tricky little Connor found a helmet that he loved. He kept wearing it and when it came time to leave, he refused to take it off. We bought it considering Bridger is going to play T ball this summer and likes to practice out in the yard while
Connor tends to not pay attention. We figured it would save his cute precious little head from any damage :)
Well the little buster wore it for almost 5 consecutive days minus naps and bedtime. He looked pretty funny and made quite a few people giggle when they saw him. I also tried to buy him some new shoes but when I took his boots off, he told me "put boots on." I guess it could be an interesting summer with a baseball helmet on backwards and cowboy boots. If you can't tell from the pictures- he is all boy!!! Bridger is getting excited about T ball, especially since Jeremy is going to be his coach. We also bought him a helmet but he wears it the correct way :) I had to laugh about them riding in their cars in the driveway with helmets on, guess you never can be too careful. Bridger sure does look pretty cute in his baseball get up!
Enjoy....

Utah Trip

Last week Jeremy and I were both off work so we decided to head to Utah for a few days. We stayed with grandma Gilbert since Shayla's kids had been sick. Grandma Gilbert has always been such a great host and I am grateful my kids are able to get to know her and are able to spend time with her. Connor walked around the house looking at all the pictures of grandpa and would ask "grandpa go?" It brought tears to my eyes as my grandpa passed away 5 weeks before Connor was born, I sure have missed him but what great knowledge we have knowing this life isn't the end.
We enjoyed our time just hanging out with grandma! Jeremy can sure get her giggling because of all his jokes :) I am pretty sure she had fun giving him a hard time back. We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked with Shayla, Brig, and kids but still were able to see them and even have a picnic before we left to come home.
We did some shopping, had a quick lunch with Lucas since he had a layover in SLC, and visit Temple Square as a family! Bridger made me laugh as he and Connor ran around the temple grounds, he told me he learned about temples and he even sang a song about it in primary. He told me we can be a family forever because of temples and is that so true! What a wonderful blessing!
He kept wanting me to take a picture of him in front of this waterfall and was very persistent. Later, he told Shayla he took a picture and was going to have me (his mom) print it off so Grandma Gilbert could have a new picture of him. He told her it was a surprise. Bridger is so stinking sweet and has a huge heart. I often lack in taking family pictures and updating grandma's and grandpa's so I am going to try and be better thanks to Bridge!

Had to share...

Our conversation tonight... I had to blog it right after it took place so I didn't forget any of it because it was so cute! By the way, Jeremy and I have both noticed a huge difference with our little Bridger since his tonsils were taken out. He feels so much better and I am so grateful we went through with it! We love our little Bridger!

Bridger: mom I have a stomachache and don't think I can go to bed

Me: Bridger, go to bed

Bridger: I actually feel fine, I just want to snuggle

Me: ok, go get your blanket

Bridger: (while snuggling) I wish I knew what our baby is

Me: what do you think it is?

Bridger: a girl

Me: hmmmm

Bridger: (giggling) what if it's a Japanese girl?

Me: uh that would be a problem

Bridger: what sports do you think little Japanese girls play? Maybe karate.

I was giggling during most of the conversation because he says such funny and cute things. He is so excited for the baby to get here- he never fails to say a prayer without mentioning the baby. He only tells me he thinks it's a girl because if Jeremy is around he acts all tough and says he thinks it's a boy :)

Best friends

Can you believe I got out of bed at 5:00 this morning to enroll Bridger for kindergarten!? Sad day. On a happy note, yesterday we went to Walmart since we hadn't been out of the house for almost a week and these 2 hoodlums (literally) held hands in the aisle and were being so cute! Unfortunately, we had to pick up a prescription for Jeremy who has strep throat :(

(not really sure why Bridger had his hood up)
